So, when I came back from Malawi (in Africa for those who don't know) a few years ago, my main piece of luggage was "lost" by the airline, United. Funny how it made it through Malawi, Ethiopia and Rome just fine. Then I carried it through customs in Washington DC, and United Airlines lost it here in the US... Pissed me off, I had everything in there, lots of mementos, my hiking bag, the suitcase that it was all in was borrowed and huge, which alone was $300...
Anyway, if you want the airlines to keep better track of your bag, put a gun in it. They'll be sure and take extra special care of it then... Granted, I don't know if I'd ever really do this, but I thought it was funny/interesting anyway.

This man makes people care about what is happening in this election and in this country. It's statements and speeches like this that have made over 1 million people donate money to Barack Obama:
Frankly, I'm a big fan of Ron Paul, I'm not sure if I'd even vote for Obama in the general election (assuming he wins primaries over Clinton) over McCain. However, I'm fascinated with the throngs that surround Obama and trumpet his name. When Obama comes to town, people show up... a lot of people. His gatherings are huge! People argue that a president is not the one who brings about change, Congress and other committees do. While that is partially true, I think that with this many people actually listening and passionately caring about Obama as a candidate and his message (change or hope or whatever), the people of this country united can bring about that change as well, by pushing Congress and other officials. When many people really actually care about the state of something and want change, that change will more than likely happen (Otherwise we'd still be reporting to the Queen of Britain). So, is this "change" that Obama talks about good, or bad? I mean, really, what is the "change" that he wants to happen? Does he know, do you know? Anyone?
Hey all, if you want a free rental at the Redbox movie machines (generally inside McDonald's), use the code "GROUNDHOG", without the quotes. I wonder if I'm allowed to share that online??? (If not, and I get some threatening email from Redbox, I'll remove it :-) You can sign up to get the codes from their website.
Redbox, I think, is way better than Blockbuster now if you can return your movies in a day or so. It's $1 a day, up to 25 days, then the movie is yours (obviously you'd be paying $25 for it). Blockbuster is now about $4 for a movie... so, really, I can get four movies at Redbox for that. I still use Blockbuster's mailing service, but I'm also thinking about switching to Netflix since it's the same price, same movie selection, same service, but with Netflix you can have unlimited downloading of movies too, for free!! (and there is a MythTV plugin for Netflix) Since Blockbuster went and raised their prices so much for their mailing and store trade in services, there is no point to use them unless necessary. Nothing sets them apart any longer...
UPDATE: New code, "DVDONME", for those of you who like cheap movies from a big red box...
So, 1% of America has voted so far in the primaries, time for the other 99% to vote for Ron Paul...
We came as the characters from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, it was really fun! It took us several days to make the costumes, but it was great fun (although very hard to move around and see...).
I was Master Shake, Travis was Frylock and Nicole was Meatwad.
UPDATE: Since no one could see the picture I uploaded with this site (I'm using some Drupal plugin I didn't test very well), I loaded them to Google's PicasaWeb and embedded the slideshow here. So, here are the pics.
Ron Paul, he makes sense, ignore the big media and dig into the candidate.

I've been using MythTV for about a year and half now or so. I have to admit, it is simply amazing. MythTv is described on Wikipedia as:
